Shake flask cultivations of E. coli RV308 at 37°C with the EnBase system with different amounts of glucoamylase (a, d: 60; b, e: 30; c, f: 12 AGU L^-1). pO₂ and pH were analyzed in 12 sec intervals with the Senbit system. The spikes in the pO₂ curves reflect intermediate stops of the shaker for sampling. Glucose and acetate were analysed as described in the Materials section.
